First of all a nice FOSS bullet hell SHMUP, called Shmupacabra:



Taisei Project is maybe also relevant if you like getting killed ALOT (hehe, insider joke for q).

Previously mentioned Cube Trains (based on Frogatto) has reached version 1.0:



You can support the developer of this nice puzzle game by buying the Expansion-pack for 2 Canadian bucks or more! Another option to try and fund FOSS game development... maybe there will be some sales figures published at some point?

Next on the list: open-source engine reimplementation project Corsix-th:



You will need the original game for the non-free artworks though.

And last but not least: 0 A.D. got a brand new website: www.play0ad.com! Celebrating this they also made some nice video tutorials for total beginners:

Ancient Beast: HTML5 Hexagonal RTS' First Release

Ancient Beast is a FOSS game project that has been in development by Freezing Moon for a couple of years, tantalizing everyone with top notch concept art and 3D models. 

After a rather large restructuring in game scope, where they changed from attempting to create a 3D RTS in the Blender Game Engine, to a 2D hexagonal TBS built on HTML5, they have delivered a promising gameplay prototype that offers a mix of Heroes of Might and Magic and Magic: The Gathering's gameplay. 

Gameplay currently revolves around summoning creatures and using their abilities to defeat other summoners

Still in heavy development, the game still needs to implement the entirety of its sizable bestiary, as well as adding animated creatures by utilizing the models they have created.

So, if you have any skills in web development, jump aboard and help them complete this awesome game!

Download KMPlayer 3.4 New 2012

KMPlayer 3.4 2012. Kalau sebelumnya saya sudah share KMPlayer 3.3, sekarang KMPlayer sudah menerbitkan versi terbarunya yaitu KMPlayer 3.4 new 2012.

Seperti yang sudah saya jelaskan sebelumnya, KMPlayer adalah pemutar video dan audio yang hasilnya sangat bagus dari segi gambar maupun dari segi suara danjuga KMPlayer ini mendukung untuk 3D.

Dari pertama saya menggunakan KMPlayer sampai sekarang saya juga masih tetap menggunakan KMPlayer untuk memutar video karena memang KMPlayer menghasilkan kualitas gambar yang sangat baik dibandingkan dengan yang lain yang pernah saya gunakan.

KMPlayer 3.4 ini sudah tentu semakin bagus dari type sebelumnya dan juga sudah sangat mendukung bagi para pengguna windows 8 seperti saya juga yang sudah menggunakan windows 8.

5. Buka lagi folder Stronghold Legends_CGandHS_Crew
6. Buka lagi folder StrongholdLegends
7. Untuk memeainkan Jalankan StrongholdLegends.exe
8. Enjoy

Nb : Game ini sudah saya coba pada Windows 7 Ultimate Sp1 dan Windows 8 Pro, berjalan sangat lancar.

Download Windows 8 USB Installer Maker ( Membuat Windows 8 Dengan Flashdisk )

Windows 8 USB Installer Makker. Sebenarnya software ini sudah saya share sebelumnya, namun berhubung banyak yang belum tahu dan file yang sebelumnya terhapus, sekarang saya share lagi karena saya juga menggunakan software ini untuk membuat windows di flashdisk dan banyak juga yang bertanya bagaimana cara membuat windows di flashdisk.

Windows 8 USB Installer maker ini sangat ampuh dalam membuat bootable windows 8 kedalam flashdisk sehingga bagi yang ingin menginstall windows 8 namun tidak memiliki CD-Room atau CD-Roomnya rusak bisa menggunakan software ini untuk membuat windows 8 di flashdisk dan menginstall windows 8 menggunakan flashdisk.

Untuk membuat Bootable USB windows 8 minimal memiliki flashdisk 4 Gb atau lebih dan sudah pasti punya file windows 8 berbentuk ISO, Caranya sebagai berikut.

1. Colokkan Flashdisk, Jalankan Windows 8 USB Installer maker ( tampilannya seperti gambar diatas )
2. Perhatikan tulisan select a USB drive. di sana sahabat HS tinggal pilih drive flashdisk yang sahabat HS gunakan ( mungkin F, G, H atau yang lain sesuai flashdisk mana yang sahabat HS ingin rubah menjadi bootable flashdisk windows 8 )
3. Kemudian klik serch ISO. cari dimana file windows 8 berformat iso yang sahabat HS simpan.
4. Setelah sudah menentukan flashdisk dan file isonya, centang pada show copying dan format drive kemudian klik create.
5. Tunggu sampai proses selesai dan Finish. sekarang flashdisk sahabat HS sudah bisa digunakan untuk menginstall windows 8.

Cry for programming help!

Ok, we don't normally do these kind of recruitment posts (don't send us emails about that!), but for the following two FOSS game gems we will make an exception (and it is officially sanctioned by our boss Charlie ;) ).

So which ones do I mean? Well these:

In recent months both games have stalled in development and people are starting to become quite pessimistic about the future (1,2).

Strangely enough (for typical FOSS projects) it is not the artists who lack (there is actually an active group of contributors for both games, who are eager to see their artwork in the game; examples: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, all CC-by-SA licensed) but a severe lack of programmers.

So how can you help out and dig into the code, and why am I posting about both games the same time? Well both are actually build on a somewhat similar base, utilizing OGRE3D for graphics and CEGUI for the GUI elements. Now I have to admit, given my very much lacking C++ skills, I am aware that that is probably where the similarities end, but have a look at their developers pages (1, 2) and source-code yourself if you are interested.

Now why would one want to merge the code-base of two completely different games (the one being a strategy game, the other an ARPG)? Well surprisingly enough they would complement each other quite well, with a similar theme and the nice prospect of using the OD mechanics also as an in-game editor (which is really lacking for SumWars).

In addition to that it would open up the possibility of a really cool multiplayer/COOP game mode as I explained here. This comic sums up the idea (minus the Wii-U):

Download CCleaner 3.25 Business Edition Full Version

CCleaner 3.25 business edtion full version. Siapa sih yang tidak kenal dengan software yang bernama CCleaner, sebuah software utilitis yang bisa dibilang sangat bagus untuk membersihkan sampah-sampah yang tidak berguna pada pc yang kita gunakan.

Sekarang yang haramain software bagikan ini adalah CCleaner business edition yang sudah jelas lebih bagus dari CCleaner yang gratisan.  CCleaner 3.25 business edition ini adalah versi terbaru dari CCleaner.

CCleaner 3.25 terbaru ini sudah compatibel dengan windows 8 dan windows server 2012 dan sudah jelas lebih bagus dari versi sebelumnya.

Untuk melihat tampilannya silahkan lihat pada gambar yang ada di bawah ini agar sahabat haramain software tidak penasran.

Cara install :

1. Disconnect PC dari koneksi Internet
2. Install CCleaner seperti biasa
3. Setelah instalasi selesai, jangan di-buka dulu softwarenya
4. Copy "Patch.exe" dari dalam folder Patch
5. Kemudian Paste di folder instalasi CCleaner
6. Default ~> C:\Program Files\CCleaner\
7. Jalankan "Patch.exe", kemudian klik PATCH
8. Tutup Patch, kemudian jalankan CCleaner
9. Masukkan serial yang sudah saya sediakan
10. Selesai
